Katharina, daughter of a castle landlord, built the Villa Schmid together with her husband Anton Schmid, after whom our premium wine line is named. According to legend, in order to impress her, Anton had battlements attached to the house, symbolically turning it into a castle. Is it true? We don't know, but we like it!
